GLAUDI designer to hold drive-thru fashion show

The fashion show industry is still starting to emerge from the pandemic lockdown. 

One designer is hosting a drive-thru runway show while also moving forward after a great family loss. GLAUDI designer Johana Hernandez is celebrating 10 years, but also honoring her father who died from COVID-19.

Hernandez is from Downey and opened her first bridal gown store there. Now, the couture designer also has a store in Beverly Hills

Whitney Shay primed for album release show after COVID-19 postponed her previous three album release gigs

Will the fourth time be the charm for Whitney Shay, whose album-release concert Friday night at the Music Box comes 16 months after it was originally set to take place?

The chart-topping San Diego blues-soul vocal dynamo is counting on it.

Shay was originally scheduled to perform her album-release gig at the Belly Up on March 26, 2020. It was postponed because of the COVID-19-fueled shutdown of live events.

A new date at the Belly Up, set for June 28 last year, also fell through. So did the Dec. 20 album-release livestream show she had arranged as an alternative

Jevon Terance to hold 14-year anniversary fashion show in downtown Lorain | Lorain County

Lorain fashion designer Jevon Terance is hosting his first fashion show since the beginning of 2020 on July 18 in downtown Lorain.

“This is my first in-person show since February of 2020 during Fashion Week in New York,” Terance said. “I’m excited about it; we’re bringing people back.”

The brand held two virtual shows last year during the novel coronavirus pandemic, but he said he is looking forward to having a live audience.

Terance said his collection last year mainly was centered around athleisure and workout clothing.

This year, the show will feature more runway looks, he said.

Jon Langford to perform free show at Blue Arrow Records

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Jon Langford will host a free solo acoustic show at Blue Arrow Records, to honor his Waco Brothers and Bad Luck Jonathan bandmate Joe Camarillo who died earlier this year. The show is set to take place 6-9 p.m., Aug. 4.

The show serves as a dedication event for a new memorial garden at Blue Arrow and its nonprofit Waterloo Alley Cat Project (WACP). Fashion show, community supporters promote well-being


The Iiná Bíhoo’aah Body Positivity Fashion Show collaborated with six Utah Diné fashion designers to promote local businesses and health.

“This fashion show was a fabulous way to visually showcase the talent we have locally and where we can invest our dollars,” said Sahar Khadjenoury, Iiná Bíhoo’aah youth coordinator.

Iiná Bíhoo’aah, meaning “essence of life/learning of life,” is a Utah Navajo Health System program that supports youth and young adults by providing therapy counseling, case management, peer support services, education support, supported employment, and access to a traditional healer.
