This summer, the five museums are welcoming prominent Black artists into their space. Kehinde Wiley’s painting of Barack Obama and Amy Sherald’s painting of Michelle Obama will be on display at five major museums for the Obama Portraits Tour. The first stop is the Art Institute of Chicago where the paintings will be there for your viewing pleasure until August 15. Dave Matthews Band Extends 2021 Tour With Two Nights At MSG

Ahead of Dave Matthews Band’s 2021 tour kick-off on Friday, the group has announced the addition of two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden and a new show at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 5. 

The Nov. 12-13 concerts at MSG mark the band’s first shows at the renowned venue since 2018. The gigs are now set to close out the 2021 summer/fall tour, which was previously scheduled to conclude with two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., Nov. 9-10.

Todd Snider has announced dates for an extensive fall tour. The Nashville singer-songwriter’s Return of the Storyteller Tour begins July 24th with a sold-out event at Tennessee’s the Caverns.

UPDATE (7/13): After doing an exclusive vinyl reissue of The Soft Bulletin Companion for Record Store Day, the Flaming Lips will make the 1999 rarity widely available for the first time on CD, digital and vinyl on June 16th. The new release will also include an additional track, an early mix of “1000 ft. Hands.” The Soft Bulletin Companion is available to pre-order and pre-save on streaming services.

Deftones Push North American Tour With Gojira to 2022

UPDATE (7/9/21): Deftones have decided to reschedule their 2021 tour with Gojira for 2022, citing ongoing concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets for all 2021 shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates and refunds will be available for those who can’t attend. Deftones and Gojira have also added new shows in Las Vegas, Cincinnati and Nashville; tickets for those gigs will go on sale July 16th at 10 a.m. local time via Deftones’ website.
